Toyota FT-1 Concept greatest performance cars that have ever existed
Toyota Design Research in Newport Beach, California, the words describing the sports car's styling concept came first -- words like "sexy," "honest," "organic," "kick-ass." But when they did, it was an avalanche. .It's iconic: a long, melted nose, abrupt windshield rise, tight roof peak, and lengthy plunge to a mini ducktail flip.
Toyota create a sports car for the future, a point emphasized by its eventual name, "FT-1" -- for Future Toyota-One -- which recalls their stillborn 2007 FT-HS project and parallels Lexus' "LF" (Lexus Future) naming scheme.
A three-dimensional frenzy of winks and side glances, sucking scoops, and brutal down force-generators, all peeking at us from behind a curtain where the future is being created. It's the essence of a potent potential new sports car that's for now an instant of bodywork turbulence, shock-frozen in fiberglass.
Toyota’s new Toyota FT-1 Concept turbocharged 2.0 litre four-cylinder due to be used in the upcoming Lexus NX Crossover. However, a hybrid model combining a 2.5 litre V6 with an electric motor looking at developing more than 400 horsepower.

2015 Ford Mustang Is Powerful
Ford's 2015 Mustang isn't just its most technologically-advanced ever, but its most efficient too. Much attention has been paid to its new four-cylinder engine, lining up alongside the V-6 and V-8 units for the first time in decades. But Ford Motor Company [NYSE:F] has worked hard on the car's aerodynamics too--not a traditional strong point of pony cars.
2015 Ford Mustang, the sixth generation of the iconic pony car and the first aimed at a global audience.
Integral-link independent rear suspension
At the rear is the all-new ‘integral-link’ independent rear suspension--a major plus over the solid axle. The geometry, springs, dampers and bushings all have been specifically modified and tuned for high-performance. New aluminum rear knuckles help reduce unsprung mass for improved ride and handling.
The other big Mustang news is the availability of a turbocharged four-cylinder engine in addition to the familiar V-6 and V-8 options. At the top end, the Mustang GT continues with a 5.0-liter V-8, which now features an upgraded valvetrain and cylinder heads that yield more than 420 horsepower and 390 pound-feet of torque. A new intake manifold improves low-speed breathing for better fuel economy, idle stability and emissions.
Four-cylinder power confirmed
The new four-cylinder engine is a 2.3-liter EcoBoost unit, which is expected to deliver more than 305 horsepower and 300 pound-feet of torque. It’s the mid-level engine option and should be a hot item among the tuner scene as well as fuel-conscious buyers. Finally, the base Mustang continues with its 3.7-liter V-6, which will produce at least 300 horsepower and 270 pound-feet of torque. A six-speed manual transmission remains standard while a six-speed automatic with paddle shifters is available.
High-tech features
The design of the cabin is a familiar one, though the materials are much nicer than on previous versions and there’s more space too. The information and controls an active driver needs are all readily accessible. Large, clear instrumentation puts vehicle information right in front of the driver, while improved ergonomics and tactile switches and knobs provide better control. The added width and a new rear suspension contribute to improved shoulder and hip room for passengers, and a more usefully shaped trunk can accommodate two golf bags.
High-tech features include driver-adjustable stability, steering systems, throttle and transmission systems; launch control, SYNC with MyFord Touch; Shaker Pro audio; and blind-spot monitors, cross-traffic alert, and a lot of other safety features your average Mustang driver will completely ignore are also available.

Electric-Car Concept From Japan Floats Like A Boat In Emergencies
There are electric cars and (a few) amphibious cars, but what about electric amphibious cars?
Now this newest concept takes things a step further. The Fomm Concept One is an electric car that floats like a boat in emergencies .Japan-based Fomm believes this wacky plug-in car could be useful in such flood-prone .In non-disaster situations, the Concept One is propelled by two in-wheel electric motors, which produce 5 kilowatts (6.7 horsepower each). The estimated range from a single charge is 62 miles, though with a total of 15 horsepower, we're betting they're not very fast miles. Yet the Concept One can also use a water-jet generator to maneuver through flooded terrain, while its tires help keep it buoyant. However, the car's amphibious party trick is for emergencies only. It wasn't designed for regular soakings, and significant repairs are required after every swim.
The Concept One weighs just 1,014 pounds and measures just over 8.2 feet long--six inches shorter than a Smart For Two Electric Drive. Nonetheless Fomm claims its creation can seat four, with backseat access through minivan-like sliding doors. The interior is fairly basic. The gauges are contained in a single dashboard-mounted pod, and a yoke with hand controls for throttle and braking replaces the traditional steering wheel and pedals.

Arrinera finalizes its Hussarya supercar design
A 650-hp coupe it calls the Hussarya.
Arrinera's first supercar prototype received a lot of flak for styling so reminiscent of a Lamborghini that the company was accused of making a straight-out replica. Lamborghini design with some Ferrari and McLaren cues to create the Hussarya.
Arrinera sticks closely to an all-too familiar start-up supercar formula: GM-sourced 6.2-liter V8 engine, 3.2-second 0-62 mph (100 km/h) time and 211 mph (340 km/h) top speed. With the help of a manual Graziano gearbox, the 650-hp V8 has the cushy job of pushing around Noble's high-strength steel chassis decorated in optional carbon/Kevlar bodywork. The package weighs 2,866 lb (1,300 kg), according to the spec sheet Arrinera has published. Other numbers listed on that sheet include an 8.9-second 0-124 mph (200 km/h), 14.3-second 0-124-0 mph and 11-second quarter mile.
The Hussarya measures 175.2 x 80.9 x 46.8-in (4,450 x 2,056 x 1,190 mm) and stretches over a 106-in (2,695-mm) wheelbase. It rolls on 19-in light alloy wheels with 255/35 R19 front tires and 335/30 R19 rear tires.
Inside, Arrinera promises a high-end leather and composite cabin with a high level of standard amenities (for a supercar). The Hussarya will come out of the factory sporting an audio system with CD/MP3 player and Bluetooth connectivity, power windows, air conditioning and remote control locks. Other listed standard features include a back-up camera, parking sensors and daytime running lamps. The available thermal imaging camera with LCD will monitor the road ahead for people and animals. Add-on packages will include several carbon fiber kits and a 700-hp Power Package with larger brakes.
Arrinera plans to ready the Hussarya by the end of this year. It is working on an exclusive color palette with PPG Industries.

2015 McLaren 650S
New 2015 McLaren 650S. In line with their plans to release a new car every year, the McLaren 650S follows on from the 12C, 12C Spyder and, of course, the awesome P1.
Designed to sit between the 12C and the P1, the new McLaren 650S is essentially a major facelift for the 12C. McLaren have chosen to keep the car very drivable and offer some every day creature comforts like a rear parking camera and satellite navigation whilst improving performance and all-round drivability at the same time. Firstly the 650S has 25% new parts over the 12C, this is much more than a simple styling exercise to make it look like the P1. The revised styling helps create an astounding 40% more down force and through increased cooling they have been able to up the power by 25 hp and 80 Nm of torque. To complement the increase in power, gear changes are now faster and more engaging with a more responsive throttle response too.
These performance gains mean the 650S now squeezes 650 PS and 678 Nm of torque from the 3.8-litre twin turbo V8, improving acceleration, responsiveness and overall top speed. 0-100 km/h (62 mph) acceleration now takes only 3.0 seconds and 0-200 km/h (125 mph) only 8.4 seconds. This is faster than many ‘stripped out’ track-focused road cars, yet despite this the McLaren 650S also offers better fuel economy and is more usable every day. The 650S will go on to hit a maximum of 333km/h (207mph) and when the time comes will break from 300-0 km/h in just 271 m (889 ft) thanks to its carbon ceramic brakes.
2015 McLaren 650S Specifications
Efficiency
CO2 275 g/km
Fuel consumption (combined) 24.2 mpg (UK)
Power to weight (with lightweight options) 500 PS (493 bhp) / tonne

Speed
Maximum speed 333 km/h (207 mph)
Acceleration
0-100 kph (62 mph) 3.0 s*
0-200 kph (124 mph) 8.4 s*
0-300 kph (186 mph) 25.4 s*
0-400 m / ¼ mile 10.5 @ 224 km/h (139 mph)*
Braking
100-0 km/h 30.5 m (100 ft)
200-0 km/h 123 m (404 ft)
300-0 km/h 271 m 889 ft)
*with standard Pirelli P Zero™ Corsa tyres
As we know, power is nothing without control. The 650S has 22% stiffer springs, revised front top-mounts and this all works in line with a revised damper calibration to improve high and low speed handling. The McLaren Airbrake has also been refined and is now more intelligent in how and when it deploys. It doesn’t just work under braking, the rear wing now flattens at high speed in a straight line, like a Formula 1 DRS system and under full acceleration in Aero mode, improving air flow over the car.
So in conclusion the 650S isn’t exactly what we expected from McLaren and it does take the 12C and make some excellent improvements in all areas to create a far more enjoyable and involving drive, it also looks fantastic from a front 3/4 angle!
