Light and nimble, are two perfect words to describe the Exige. Weighing as less as 1200kgs, the car is R-GT class. A majority of the weight of the car comes from the underside and side protection for the driver as well as the co-driveralong with the steel roll cage.
The car roars with the same engine that powered the Exige with a 3.5litre V6 supercharged engine producing a monstrous 302horsepower with a six-speed sequential transmission. To control the power based on the FIA regulations for R-GT, the car has a 34mm air restrictors. Lotus claims that the beauty of the car lies in the fact that although it is built to see the rally stages, the car is perfectly built to suit anyone who is not a pro at the sport as well. Another advantage that the brand gained by the development of the rally car, was immense developments in terms of safety and reliability.
For a comfortable and a less bumpy drive quality, the rally Exige has front and rear double A-arms with three way adjustable dampers.
